About me

Whatever brings you to therapy, I aim to support you in exploring your full potential in life. Perhaps anxiety, stress, or low mood are making it hard to get through each day. You may be carrying the weight of painful experiences, loss, or trauma that has left you feeling stuck. Or perhaps you are simply struggling to feel good about yourself - your worth, your body, your place in the world.

I am an integrative therapist, which means I can adapt to each client’s needs. The approaches I may work with include psychoanalytic (focusing on childhood, attachment, and trauma), humanistic (looking at present experiences, beliefs, and aspirations), and transpersonal (perhaps working with story, archetypes, and dreams).

I believe that humans have an inbuilt capability for healing. If obstacles are removed, we are free to grow into mature, fully realized adults - just as an acorn will naturally develop into an oak tree. My role as your therapist won't be to “fix” you - it's to help you identify blocks and patterns in your way, unlocking your own natural potential.

Training, qualifications & experience

BA(Hons), MSc, MBACP

I am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), and I adhere to their ethical code of practice and confidentiality.

I'm also a certified yoga teacher and may bring a somatic perspective into our work. I have a degree in Philosophy and a master's in Artificial Intelligence, and I also trained in Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) to master's level.

I am currently working towards certification as a Group Therapist.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
