About me

Hi, my name is Jo, I am a qualified Person Centred Therapeutic Counsellor offering counselling/ therapy in Northampton to adults and young people 11+ years. I am a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy.

Life can sometimes feel overwhelming and making the decision to seek therapy can feel daunting, I will offer you a safe non-judgemental space for you to explore, at your pace, the difficulties you may be having.

I believe that the relationship between client and counsellor is as important as the approach, cultivating an environment of trust in order to explore the issues that are impacting your life right now. These may come from the past or recent events resulting in preventing you from living your life to its full potential.

My experience is both as a school counsellor working with children and their parents and for a Mental Health charity within Northampton supporting young people from 11+ years.

I offer both long and short-term therapy.

Please feel free to email me with any questions you may have and I will aim to respond within 24 hours.

No issue is too small or big to benefit from therapy.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
