About me

I am a BACP-registered counsellor with over 15 years of experience (5 of those years in the NHS) supporting people through depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, and loss. I am also qualified to supervision level and bring a depth of professional knowledge alongside a warm, human approach to therapy.

My core training is in Person-Centred Counselling, which means I offer a safe, non-judgmental space where you can be fully heard and understood at your own pace. I believe that when you feel genuinely accepted and supported, meaningful change becomes possible.

Alongside this foundation, I also draw on Solution Focused approaches and CBT tools where helpful - especially when you want practical strategies, clearer direction, and measurable progress.

Many of the people I work with feel stuck, overwhelmed, or weighed down by past experiences. You may be tired of coping alone, repeating patterns that no longer serve you, or feeling disconnected from who you want to be.

Our work together can help you make sense of what you’re carrying, build emotional resilience, and move toward greater freedom and self-understanding.

I work collaboratively and tailor each session to you - your needs, your goals, and your pace. Whether you want space to explore your story, tools to manage difficult thoughts and feelings, or support in processing trauma or loss, we can shape the work together.

Clients often describe my style as calm, compassionate, and grounded. My aim is to help you feel safe enough to be honest, supported enough to grow, and empowered enough to create lasting change.

Taking the first step can feel daunting, but you don’t have to do this alone.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
