About me
Hi,
I am a fully qualified integrative counsellor working with adults, children , adolescents and family's . I use a variety of techniques to help people with their issues and work through a systemic lens.
I qualified as an integrative counsellor in 2007, then Post Graduate Dip in children and adolescents in 2010. I have also qualified as a systemic family practitioner in 2022. My counselling sessions aim to offer a variety of counselling methods to suit individual needs.
I have many years experience working with adults, children and adolescents in the statutory, voluntary and private sector. I work within the Widnes area. I have worked in secondary, primary and infant schools in Halton and also the Liverpool area, counselling children and adolescents, and offer systemic family sessions.
I am an accredited member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and adhere to their ethical framework. I attend monthly counselling supervision and actively participate in Continuous Professional Development to ensure my practice is up to date.
I offer a non-judgmental approach whilst remaining empathetic.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

I offer a 30 minute initial assessment, which is free of charge. There is no obligation to start counselling if you feel it is not right for you.

My appointments can be made of an evening for more flexibility.
You are under no obligation to book further sessions if you do not feel comfortable with your sessions or change your mind.
If you need to cancel please give at least 24 hours' notice. If sessions are cancelled late, the full fee may need to be paid.
