About me

A safe space to understand yourself, feel better, and move forward
Perhaps you’re feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or low. Maybe you’re struggling with something that has happened to you, finding relationships difficult, or simply feeling that life has become harder than it should be. Sometimes, you may not even know exactly what is wrong - you just know that you don’t feel like yourself.
Whatever has brought you here, you don’t have to have all the answers before you begin therapy.

I’m an experienced therapist with over 10 years of continuous experience working with people from a wide range of backgrounds and with difficulties ranging from mild to more complex and severe mental health presentations. Alongside my private practice, I also work within the NHS, giving me thousands of hours of experience supporting people through some of the most difficult periods of their lives.

I have particular experience working with anxiety, depression, trauma and complex trauma, as well as difficulties with self-esteem, relationships, emotions, life changes and many other challenges that can affect our wellbeing.

For me, therapy begins with you. I offer a warm, compassionate and genuinely non-judgemental space where you can be yourself - without having to pretend that everything is okay or worry about what I might think. You can talk openly, at your own pace, knowing that you will be listened to and taken seriously.

My main therapeutic approach is Person-Centred Therapy, which means I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. I believe you are the expert in your own life, and my role is to work alongside you to understand what you need and what will help. I have also undertaken extensive additional training, which means I can draw on a range of therapeutic approaches and psychological theories when appropriate.

What this means for you is that your therapy can be genuinely tailored to you - your experiences, your personality, your circumstances, and the changes you want to make.
Therapy isn’t about changing who you are. It’s about creating the space to understand yourself more deeply, make sense of what you’ve been through, develop greater self-compassion, and find ways of moving forward that feel right for you.

You don’t need to wait until things become unbearable to seek support. If something in you is saying “I think I need some help”, that can be enough.

I’d be very happy to help you explore what is bringing you to therapy and, together, work towards you feeling more understood, grounded, confident, and able to cope with whatever life brings.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
