About me
Feeling not quite like your usual self and need someone non judgemental, unbiased, warm, caring and empathic to talk to? We all need space and time to be able to talk and explore our thoughts and feelings. Our feelings, if not clear, can make us confused, unhappy and we are often not sure why. How often do we give enough time to ourselves in our busy lives to be able to really consider how we are feeling?
I offer Counselling sessions in a safe, comfortable homely and highly confidential environment. I have experience of continuous service provision through the pandemic and developed my online services. I work flexibly to meet my clients needs and therefore sessions can oscillate between face to face when required to onlline if needs be.
I pride my self in this flexible approach. Clients have experienced huge benefits in maintaining their personal Counselling journey in this way. As often life just takes over and Self Care and Counselling drops to the sidelines.
My independant Service name is Just Being Human Counselling. Your face to face appointments will take place in an area with private parking being a in a cul de sac location and with easy access and plenty of parking spaces. No stress before you enter the room.

Just Being Human Counselling was asked to Support a Coventry Born Singer Sandra Godley OBE to build a Choir that support diversity and disability. The Choir was made up from people who had suffered either Physical or Mental Health impact. The Choir named ‘Choir-Ability’ performed their song on the BBC ‘One Show’ as part of the celebrations for the Royal Wedding of Prince Henry of Wales (Harry) and Meghan Markle. Due to Prince Harry's conviction to support people suffering from Mental Health issues through the Charity 'Head Space'. I was completely honoured to be asked to be the Independent Counsellor on site providing support, re-focussing and grounding techniques to enable individuals to remain calm and engage in the Choirs activities & to get through their audition & stage fright. It was an Exceptionally Inspiring event. The Choir sang on the BBC One Show on May 17th at 7pm.
To date on the 12th December 2021, i presented ‘Just Being Human Counselling - Essential Self Care’ to a Regiment of the British Army. It was a great honour to work with Service personal. Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
