About me

'When a person is hurting, confused, troubled, anxious, alienated, terrified; or when he or she is doubtful of self-worth, uncertain as to identity, then understanding is called for'

Sometimes we can get knocked of course, you may not know where to turn or feel you are burdening those close to you. Counselling can provide that impartial, safe and confidential space for you to explore your thoughts and feelings without judgement.

How I work

I work from a Person-Centred standpoint, I follow the belief that we are all unique and encounter life experience differently. Focusing on the here and now, I work with you in order to help you to understand your thoughts and feelings.  I believe you the client are the best expert on yourself. l offer a non judgemental, honest and empathetic environment. This helps to build trust and enables me to fully embark on your journey with you. Together we can work to empower you to become more fulfilled in your life.  At times it may be appropriate for me to draw on other theory's so I can best support clients and their individual needs.

I offer one to one sessions these can be a one off session, weekly, short or long term I am lead by you the client and what your needs are.

I am contactable by email or phone. As I may be working and unable to access my phone, you can leave a confidential voicemail and/or text letting me know when would be an appropriate time for me to contact you.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Other areas of counselling I deal with

It can be scary to reach out and show your vulnerability, It takes courage and bravery to step out and trust someone with your experience.  Walking through the door to begin counselling for the first time can feel nerve-racking.  Together at your pace, in your time i will be there to support you.

I believe counselling can be a very positive and rewarding journey of self discovery.
