About me

You may be feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or caught in patterns of overthinking that leave you exhausted and unsure how to move forward. Perhaps you're navigating a significant life change, adjusting to becoming a parent, struggling with a shift in your relationships or responsibilities, or finding yourself questioning who you are and what you need.

Many of the people I work with come to counselling during periods of transition. They may be trying to make sense of changes in identity, family life, work, or relationships, while carrying the pressure of holding everything together. These experiences can often leave people feeling anxious, emotionally drained, disconnected from themselves, or uncertain about the future.

I offer online and telephone counselling for adults across the UK and, where appropriate, internationally. I provide a calm, supportive, and non-judgemental space where you can talk openly about your experiences, explore what may be contributing to your difficulties, and begin to make sense of things at your own pace.

I work with a range of issues including anxiety, stress, burnout, grief, relationship difficulties, self-esteem, and identity-related concerns. While every person's experience is unique, many clients come to therapy at a point where life feels different from how they imagined it would, and they are looking for space to understand themselves more clearly.

As a humanistic integrative counsellor, I tailor the way I work to your individual needs. My practice is guided by the BACP Ethical Framework, and I believe that a strong therapeutic relationship can support meaningful understanding, growth, and change.

Training, qualifications & experience

Training & Experience

Alongside my core training, I have a particular interest in supporting people through periods of change, especially where identity, roles, and expectations are shifting. This may include becoming a parent, navigating postnatal experiences, processing difficult or unexpected birth experiences, adjusting to changes in relationships or work, or managing feelings of burnout and overwhelm.

I have experience supporting clients with a range of emotional difficulties and life experiences, including:

• Anxiety and overthinking
• Stress, overwhelm, and burnout
• Low mood and emotional difficulties
• Life transitions and periods of change
• Relationship challenges
• Self-esteem, identity, and sense of self
• Body image and self-worth concerns
• Experiences of grief, including losses beyond bereavement

I have also worked with individuals experiencing disordered eating, as well as difficulties relating to body image and self-worth.

My practice is grounded in a humanistic integrative approach, and I am committed to ongoing professional development and reflective practice.

Qualifications

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information

Many people I work with come to therapy feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure of how to move forward. They may be struggling with patterns of overthinking, adjusting to a significant life change, or feeling disconnected from themselves and the life they want. Together, we can make sense of what’s going on and explore a way forward that feels right for you.

I offer a warm, non-judgemental space where you can talk openly and explore things at your own pace. Whether you’re new to therapy or have had counselling before, you’re welcome to get in touch for an initial conversation to see whether we might be a good fit.

Alongside online work, limited local face-to-face sessions may also become available in the near future.
