About me

Hi, I'm Jennifer.  I've been a Psychotherapist for around ten years and I specialise in helping you understand and work through the root causes of your anxiety using a blend of psychotherapy, inner child work and nervous system healing. I also use mindfulness and awareness practices to provide a holistic approach to healing. If you've had therapy before but found it didn't go deep enough it may be that you need to explore where your patterns originated so you can understand and work through them on an emotional and body level.

You can get to know me and learn more about how I work on TikTok @jenniferkennedytherapy or Instagram @jennifer_kennedytherapy.

What I offer.

I offer a combination of talk therapy, nervous system healing and body based somatic therapy for effective emotional healing. This approach allows you to develop a greater understanding of your emotional responses, patterns and triggers. I also integrate mindfulness and embodiment practices to calm your nervous system and bring you back into balance and connection with yourself.

How I work

I offer a safe and confidential space to explore and resolve past experiences or current situations so you can be free of struggle and step into your authentic self. I work online, each session is an hour.

The first step is to set up a call to talk through what you're needing from therapy and to see if we're a good fit to work together. Send a message to get started or reach out if you have any questions.

My practice is LGBTQ+ friendly.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
