About me

Hi I'm Jennifer, I offer a safe, confidential space to explore and work through difficult past experiences or current situations so they don't continue to hold you back. I use a blend of psychotherapy,  somatic counselling and mindfulness to help you understand your thoughts and feelings so you can make the changes which will help you feel better You'll get the most out of working with me if you're already on a journey of personal development or have had therapy before and want to move through your emotional blocks at a deeper level.

Sometimes we get stuck in negative thoughts and feelings which creates worry, anxiety, low mood and not feeling good enough. We can feel disconnected from ourselves and other people. The essence of the therapy I offer is about reconnection and working through the blocks that stop you from doing the things you want to do or keep you stuck in negative patterns. If you feel stuck, confused or overwhelmed by life, therapy can help you make sense of your feelings so you can make positive changes and move forward.

I offer a compassionate and grounded approach in the therapy space, helping you transform your inner critic into a wise inner guide that will support you on your life's journey. I'll help you discover and work with your inner child who holds the key to transformation on a deeper level and restores the connection to yourself and others in a healthy, authentic way.

Face to face Therapy

I offer face to face therapy sessions at my room in Chorlton, South Manchester.

All face to face therapy is undertaken in a covid safe way and this we'll talk about this at your initial appointment which takes place online.

Online Therapy

Online therapy is an effective and flexible way to have your sessions. It takes place on Zoom or video call. You'll need a quiet, confidential space to do your sessions. The first session is an opportunity to talk about what brings you to therapy and to familiarise you with working online and I'll explain a bit about how I work. If we decide to work together we can then book weekly sessions from there.

How I work

I work on a short or long terms basis either face to face or online. I offer one to one work as well as group therapy and workshops. My specialism is on working with all types of anxiety disorders, trauma and relationship difficulties. I offer a safe, confidential space for you to explore your difficulties and make changes. I use a blend of therapy models to help you get the most out of the process and each session is tailored to your individual needs.

I work in a relaxed, open and positive way to help you gain confidence and insight so you can make the changes that will help you feel better and more in control of your life.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
