About me
I’m an integrative therapist trained in Person-Centred and Psychodynamic approaches. Using an integrative approach enables me to adapt my therapeutic model to suit my client’s needs.
Sometimes life can be challenging for people, and I believe that by simply talking to a therapist in a safe, confidential, and trusting environment can be profoundly helpful. I also strongly believe in the power of being heard and actively listened to by someone in a non-judgmental space. For me, the relationship between the client and therapist is key to a successful outcome. Forming a solid relationship can empower clients to delve deeper into issues that they may be facing and help a client to improve the way they relate to others.
I believe that you are the expert on yourself. My job is to allow you the time and space to bring to the sessions whatever it is you would like to talk about. I sit alongside you to listen and to reflect with you about what is being said. I help you identify certain patterns of behaviour that might not be helpful and to look at how you could change things.
I work with adults and young people but specialise in working with young people between the ages of 13-26. I am passionate about supporting young people so that they can function in a challenging and every changing world. I’ve had experience working with a wide range of issues including anxiety, low self-esteem, depression, loss of identity, loneliness, trauma, dementia, bereavement, anger, neurodiversity, ADHD and family and relationship difficulties.
I am a fully qualified/insured counsellor and registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP). I adhere to the BACP Ethical Framework, ensuring that my practice is safe, ethical and professional.
What to expect in your first session:
If you think you would like to start the process of counselling, then the next step would be to arrange an appointment. Sessions can be in person or online.
There will be an initial free consultation that will last around 20 minutes. This is an opportunity for us to meet and for you to decide if you would like to work with me. We can also discuss what has brought you to counselling and how I can maybe help. We would also discuss your goals and what you would like to achieve from having counselling. During this consultation, we would also discuss when these sessions would take place.
Most of my work is on an open-ended basis which means that we continue to meet until coming to a decision that it is time to end.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
