About me

I specialise in both relationship and sexual difficulties.   I have over 20 years experience as a relationship counsellor and 13 years as a psychosexual therapist. I work with couples and individuals.

I am also experienced in situations where cancer is an issue. Relationships often come under strain and communication can be difficult. Surgery can affect body image and confidence and the emotional scars can also take time to heal. I offer support to work through these sensitive issues. I have been working in this capacity in a local hospital for the past 7 years as well as offering counselling and psychosexual therapy to other individuals and couples experiencing relationship difficulties.

Training, qualifications & experience

  • Joined Relate 1993
  • Relate Certified Counsellor 1996
  • Diploma in Psychosexual Therapy 2005
  • Member of College of Relationship and Sexual Therapists [COSRT]

As a requirement of working as a counsellor and psychosexual therapist, I regularly attend continuous professional development events in the form of extra training and attendance at relevant conferences.

Wheelchair-accessible premises should have step-free access for wheelchair users and individuals who are unable to climb stairs. If a counsellor's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.

You can contact the counsellor to discuss the options available.

Under the Equality Act 2010 service providers have a duty to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access their service. You can read more about reasonable adjustments to help you to access services on the CAB website.
