About me

My approach to therapy is open, relaxed and non‑judgemental. I offer sessions online via Zoom, creating a flexible and accessible space for individuals, couples and families. As a systemic practitioner, I work collaboratively with you to explore what is happening in your current relationships, and how these experiences may be shaped by life events, social and cultural contexts, and long‑held beliefs. I recognise that everyone brings their own unique history and expectations, and my aim is to help you make sense of how these influence your wellbeing and your connections with others. I am committed to providing a safe therapeutic environment where you can talk openly about whatever difficulties you may be facing. Together, we will explore perspectives, understand relational distress, and identify unhelpful patterns of communication or behaviour that may be contributing to feeling stuck or worried about relationships breaking down. I believe that making time to talk can lead to meaningful insights and positive change in how you feel about yourself and how you relate to those around you.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a qualified Systemic Couple and Family Psychotherapist and Mental Health Clinician with over 25 years’ experience working across the NHS and the charity sector. I initially trained at the Tavistock Clinic before continuing my professional development at the Institute of Family Therapy. I am registered with UKCP and the Association for Family and Systemic Practice. Over the years, I have worked with a wide range of presenting issues including child and adolescent mental health, adult mental health, parenting challenges, couple relationship difficulties and family conflict. I am also a trained Functional Family Therapist and an experienced therapist team supervisor.

The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.

As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.

UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
