About me
It can be scary and hard to make that first step, though you have just made it by looking up a Counsellor and whether you engage with me or another Counsellor I encourage you to make that call and take the next step, you are worth it.
I provide a space with my Counselling where you can;
- talk in confidence with no judgements made,
- be listened to with empathy and understanding
- where all your emotions can be explored and talked about
- where you can begin the journey of processing grief, trauma, broken relationship's and other life events.
Take the road to finding who you are deep within and your confidence, your strengths, your own beliefs and how they can be used for a happier life.
I am insured and a member of the BACP, adhering to their ethical guidelines. I can work with you in short or long term therapy face to face in person or via Video platform or by telephone.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a qualified Integrative Counsellor and studied 5 years at the Cheshire West College to achieve a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling.
As well as working on a private basis I have also worked voluntarily for many years in a leading Bereavement Charity.
Therapy can be hard as you open up and emotions bubble up that you have suppressed. I will be there with you as you process them. Therapy can also be rewarding and enjoyable when you realise how special you are. Please pick the phone up and call someone.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
