About me
I have experience of working with a diverse range of client issues. Part of my values and beliefs are that each of us are individual, with our own unique lives. As humans, we can experience issues such as stress, anxiety, depression, or feelings of hopelessness, loneliness, being overwhelmed, angry or vulnerable. This can be caused by current life events, or through experiencing trauma, both in the present or in the past. These are general terms which only touch the surface of what these feelings personally mean to each of us, and how they may have an impact on our relationships, health and wellbeing. I practice person-centred therapy, which means that counselling will be a way of discovering what these issues, past and present, mean personally to you and your life.
I understand how difficult it can feel to reach out, but I believe that when we do share these experiences which are causing distress it can allow us the space to hear our own voice and needs. I offer warmth, compassion and honesty. In a confidential and non-judgemental environment, exploration may help to bring more understanding, or clarity, allowing you to be able to move forward, or find ways of managing current life situations. I work at a pace you are comfortable with, and with any issues you choose to bring to therapy to explore.
I offer short and long term therapy. There is a reduced price initial session (£25) in which we can discuss your expectations from therapy, and to see if I am the right therapist for you and your needs. Further sessions are £35 per session. Please see Fees for details of concessions available.
If you would like to book an initial session, or have an informal chat about your needs, then please phone or text me on 07928 336094. If I am unable to answer your call then please leave a voicemail message and I will return your call as soon as possible.
If you would rather email then please use the profile email option. I will reply to your email as soon as possible.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership

Accredited Register Scheme
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
