About me

Hi, I appreciate it is not always easy to reach out and start to see a Counsellor but I will do my best to make you feel welcome and relaxed.

I offer a caring, non-judgemental service where together we can work through your issues to help you move forward and start to live the life you would like. Sometimes we don't always know the exact reason why we are feeling as we do but Counselling can help you unpick your thoughts & emotions to help you feel happier and more fulfilled.

I am experienced in helping clients with a wide variety of subjects including Depression, Anxiety, Self Harm, Suicide Ideation, Bereavement, Trauma, Extremism, Relationships, Sexuality, Personality Disorders, Identity plus others.

I offer short and long term therapy.

Training, qualifications & experience

  • Cpcab Level 2 certificate in Counselling
  • Cpcab Level 3 certificate in Counselling skills
  • Cpcab Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling

I am a member of the BACP which means I work according to their code of ethical and professional conduct. As part of this I receive regular clinical supervision. I also attend workshops and training as part of my continuing professional development.

I work for Mind who are at the forefront of promoting good Mental Health. I see clients with a wide variety of different issues.

I run a private practice where I help clients work through many different issues including anxiety, depression, narcissistic abuse, stress, bereavement, relationship problems plus many others

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

Wheelchair user access

Wheelchair-accessible premises should have step-free access for wheelchair users and individuals who are unable to climb stairs. If a counsellor's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.
