About me

Welcome! I'm guessing you're here because you have lost someone you love and want to find a way to manage the life-changing devastation that comes with loss. I have worked in bereavement for the last 10 years, supporting adults with pre- and post bereavement, along with supporting individuals and couples navigating pregnancy and baby loss, including pregnancy after loss. I work short and long-term and TOGETHER can help you find new meaning in your life.

How do I work?

I am an integrative therapist which gives me a wide range of techniques and styles to choose from. At it's core is a humanistic, person-centred approach which enables me to tailor an approach that’s specific to your individual needs. It also gives the opportunity to work both short and long-term.

What kinds of losses do I have experience of working with?

  • Sudden, unexpected losses including suicide
  • Loss after a short-term illness
  • Loss after long-term illness
  • Living with, or supporting someone with life-limiting conditions
  • Pregnancy loss including, Miscarriage, Stillbirth, Neonatal loss, TFMR and Neonatal losses

What next?

If you want to see if I’m the right counsellor for you, why not book a FREE 20 minute initial session? This will give you opportunity to understand how I work and to see if we have the potential for a good therapeutic relationship. You can do that using my simple online booking: https://calendly.com/whitefeathercounselling/initial

I offer online sessions currently via Zoom. Here are just some of the benefits:

  • No travel required. This is great for those who may not drive and for those that do drive, it saves on petrol, parking and traffic!
  • Less time required as you won't need to add on travel time, meaning you can have your session and still meet other commitments.
  • You can have your session in your own, comfortable environment, surrounded by your own things, which may be more of a comforting experience.
  • If you live in a remote area, you're not limited to just a few counsellors who are local to you. You can choose the right therapist wherever you live.
  • Mobility can be a big issue for some people so I can still help people who may not have been able to physically get to an office.

If you're not sure whether this would work for you why not try an initial, no obligation session, you may be surprised.

Book an appointment today and start that journey to explore your loss and find new meaning in your life.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
