About me

Currently accepting new clients. My name is Jana and I am an experienced, supportive and compassionate Counselling Psychologist offering online therapy to adults who experience a variety of challenges.

I focus on helping you to learn how to deal with your difficulties, develop skills and mental resilience to respond more flexibly to your struggles as well as to everyday life. My aim is to create an accepting, respectful and non-judgmental atmosphere, where you feel supported to explore who you are and what truly matters to you.

My Approach

You might be seeking support for personal growth and development, or need to talk to someone to explore and deal with some personal difficulties that occurred recently or have been present for some time.

I tailor the therapy according to the individual needs of each client and base my practice on current research evidence. My approach is collaborative and practical. I am dedicated to help you learn how to handle personal struggles more effectively and how to move towards a life that is more meaningful according to what is important to you.

I work with clients from all varieties of backgrounds. While I focus on what you bring to therapy, I also specialize in working with anxiety and anxiety related issues.

I offer an initial free no-obligatory phone call, lasting 15 minutes, as a space to discuss any questions you might have about the therapy. Training, qualifications & experience

Qualifications:

  • BSc (Hons) in Psychology and Human Resources Management; Middlesex University
  • MSc in Health Psychology; University of Derby
  • Professional Doctorate in Counselling Psychology; University of East London

As a counselling psychologist I have been trained in different psychotherapeutic modalities. I integrate these evidence-based therapies and take into consideration each client’s background, history and circumstances to ensure most comprehensive support. My work is underpinned by relational and humanistic approach, which means that I am interested in the whole person as well as in the uniqueness of each individual.

Experience and Background:

I have an extensive experience of providing counselling and therapy to clients within a broad range of healthcare organisations. I have worked in variety of NHS trusts, as well as in private and charity organisations.

On a personal note I have travelled frequently throughout my life for both work and leisure and also relocated several times to different countries. This experience enhanced my appreciation and respect for individual and cultural diversity. It also gave rise to my specific interest in challenges with important life events, relocation, settling in a different culture and expatriate experience.

Before moving to healthcare, I held jobs in various industries including hospitality and corporate background. My work in human resource management at multinational organisation gave me a good understanding of different work environments and workplace issues including managing high pressure, stress and burnout.
