About me

I am a BACP Registered and Accredited counsellor based in Walthamstow, London E17.

I am offering sessions in  person and online

I have many years experience working in the NHS, including Senior Counsellor for the London Ambulance Service NHS Trust, and staff counsellor for Barts and the London NHS Trust.

I work with a diverse range of clients with many different issues including anxiety, work related stress, trauma, depression, bereavement, abuse, relationship issues, low self esteem, loss, separation, divorce, redundancy, life changes, sexuality and personal development.

I offer a safe, confidential and non-judgemental environment with space and time to fully explore your issues, fears, difficulties, choices and opportunities.

There are many reasons for wanting to begin counselling or psychotherapy. A recent, or current, crisis is often the prompt. Or, you may feel the time has come to take a closer look at those problems that seem all too familiar to you.

You needn't be clear about your own reasons. My aim, both initially and throughout, is to help you give voice to, as well as understand more fully, those areas of your life that may feel difficult, painful, unfulfilled or stuck. Such understanding can be useful in its own right, but it can also help us make decisions about those things we may wish to change, and come to terms with those things that we can't.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
