Inge Taylor MBACP (Accred)
15 Osborns Court
Life is full of challenges and at certain times we can feel lost, alone, frightened, angry or confused. It’s not a sign of weakness to ask for help when we feel that way.
Over the years I have helped many clients cope with the trials of life and reduce anxiety, combat stress & depression, reduce anger, clarify indecision, increase self-esteem & self-confidence and find a sense of purpose.
As a person-centred counsellor my style is gentle yet effective. My practice is based on compassion, respect, honesty and integrity. I will work hard to understand your life from your point of view. I will listen to and accept your feelings, working at your pace and not pressuring you. I’ll help you focus on your changing experiences and together we’ll look for the right solutions for you. My aim is to help you access a greater self-awareness and self-acceptance, feel empowered to take control and change your life for the better.
What Can You Expect?
The first session does not commit you to further appointments. It is a chance for us to meet and see if we can work together. We will discuss what brought you to counselling and what you hope to gain from it. The most important thing is that you find a therapist you like and trust. If you feel I’m not the right counsellor for you that’s ok, I will be happy to discuss alternative avenues of support.

Training, qualifications & experience
I have an Honours Degree in Psychology, a Certificate & Diploma in Counselling and have completed Parts 1, 2 and 3 of EMDR training. I qualified as a counsellor in 2007 and am a Registered & Accredited Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I have previously worked in the NHS and with MIND (the mental health charity). Currently, in addition to my private practice, I work at a local Further Education College supporting the students. I therefore have experience working with varying individual needs, wide ranging age groups (18 years +) and differing social and cultural backgrounds.
