About me

I am a Psychotherapist with extensive experience in  anxiety, depression, addiction, trauma and personality issues.

I am a Drama Psychotherapist/Dramatherapist and I tailor the therapy to the needs of the individual, meeting the person, where they are. Psychotherapy offers a deeper way of working. It’s especially helpful when parts of your life feel stuck, and you’re ready to create meaningful change.

An Arts Therapy/Dramatherapy approach engages the whole body and nervous system, grounded in the understanding that creativity is an innate healing force. Because we can’t always access this resource on our own, the therapist helps to facilitate that process. This approach relies less on spoken language and instead focuses on creative expression, which can illuminate the underlying roots of emotional or psychological difficulties.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am an HCPC (Health & Care Professions Council- UK) registered Dramatherapist, MA, with over 9 years experience.

I currently work part-time in the NHS - I have experience in both Inpatient work and Community, and work with a broad variety of mental health struggles and diagnoses, including: Anxiety, Depression, Trauma; Complex Trauma and PTSD, Personality issues, Bi-polar disorder and Addiction.

HCPC
Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)

The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.

They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.

Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
