About me

Much of my work centres on high-functioning professionals and young adults who may look composed externally but may be carrying complex inner tensions, chronic self-doubt, internalised shame, emotional distress, or developmental trauma, often shaped by cultural, religious, or diasporic identity. I also work with those exploring sexuality, gender roles, and belonging within conservative or cross-cultural contexts, where parts of the self have felt unsafe to hold or difficult to name. My approach is relational, collaborative, and deeply compassionate, gently incorporating somatic work. I also work in Hindi and Urdu where helpful.

For me, working relationally means I am grounded in the belief that the therapeutic relationship itself can be reparative & transformative. Our relationships, with ourselves & others, quietly shape the way we come to know ourselves & move through life, often beyond our awareness. They can be sources of love, joy, & connection, but also of grief, fear & pain.

Therapy offers a space to gently untangle this inner world of relationships with care, depth, and compassion, so that what you carry can be more fully understood, felt, and held. We begin where you are, in the here and now, listening closely to both mind and body. I may not have all the answers, but I offer a warm, steady, and gently curious space to begin.

Training, qualifications & experience

I graduated with a distinction in my Masters from University of Edinburgh. My research interest and focus was Complex PTSD. I've been in practice since 2022.

My approach in therapy is relational in essence - meaning that I work from the perspective that the therapeutic relationship itself can be reparative and transformative. Theoretically - I'm grounded in Psychodynamic and Person-Centred paradigms. I'm currently training in Somatic Trauma Therapy and integrate those techniques into my approach as well when needed, especially when working with trauma.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
