Child and Adolescent Psychoanalytical Psychotherapist
Stirling, FK8 2QG

About me

You may have been worried about your child's emotional well-being or development for some time. Perhaps the situation feels stuck and you’re unsure how to help. Children often don’t yet have the words to explain their inner experiences, and their behaviour, relationships, or powerful feelings can become confusing, concerning or overwhelming for them and for the adults supporting them.

My name is Helene and I am a Child and Adolescent Psychoanalytical Child Psychotherapist who can offer specialist individual child and adolescent psychotherapy, therapeutic parent support and professional consultation.

I am experienced and qualified to work with infants, children and young people age 0-25 years with a range of different emotional and mental health difficulties and challenges. I am registered with the Association of Child Psychotherapists (ACP) and can offer face to face appointments within Stirling city centre.

ACP accredited Child and Adolescent Psychoanalytic psychotherapy is a specialist form of talking therapy that helps the child or young person understand their emotions, thoughts and behaviours at a deeper level. Individual sessions are adapted to the child’s developmental stage and may include talking, play, and creative expression.

The child psychotherapist is trained to gain an understanding of the child’s internal world by carefully tuning into the child’s fears, hopes and confusions that are communicated through the child’s play, drawing, storytelling and through the therapeutic relationship.
