About me

I help people who feel overwhelmed and disconnected to make sense of their intense emotions, so they can feel more connected to themselves and others and live with greater ease.

  • Are you holding everything together on the outside while quietly wondering why life feels so heavy beneath the surface?
  • You may feel unsure of who you are or how to be yourself, whilst everyone around you seems to know how to function, leaving you feeling insecure, inadequate, and at times guilty for struggling.
  • Maybe you’re frightened that this is it, and nothing will really change. You’re moving through the days paralysed when decisions need to be made, exhausted from holding it all together, always trying not to be too much, and never feeling good enough.
  • Perhaps the feelings you’ve been trying hard to hide, sadness, rage, worry, are starting to spill over into everyday life and affect the relationships you care most about, your working life, and essentially your peace.

Whatever you bring to the therapy space, we will work at your pace and be guided by what matters most to you, with reflections, insight, and gentle challenge to help develop your self-awareness.

Through Therapy you can

  • Voice those feelings and experiences that have felt too heavy to share with those around you and learn to relate to your experience with greater clarity.
  • Explore the labels you’ve acquired through life, letting go of those that no longer fit
Learn to engage with the world feeling more comfortable in yourself, living from self-trust and your values rather than guilt or people-pleasing.
  • Explore your critical inner voice and begin to soften it, so you can offer yourself the same compassion you would a friend, make sense of your thoughts and emotions, and start to feel unstuck and able to make decisions.

I have lived experience of mental ill health and burnout, which means I understand how scary and daunting coming to therapy can be, yet how transformative and healing it is. I feel honoured to be able to provide a space like the one that helped me to heal, and feel this experience helps me to connect with people who are dealing with overwhelm, burnout, and finding who they are and how they can navigate life.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
