I believe that real and lasting change can be found with the right support.
Loss & bereavement, self-worth, anxiety & depression, spiritual problems, work-related issues, relationships, trauma, life goals, inner child.
What do you need?
It is sometimes helpful to ask yourself - What am I looking for in a counsellor? What are my main goals as I go for counselling? What is important to me right now? How would I like to change? What changes would I look to see around me?
Often all someone needs is some quality time and space to be able to be themselves, not feeling judged no matter what they say, and feel some compassion from somebody who cares. This is what I offer.
So I am compassionate in nature and like to help people navigate the difficulties and challenges of life. This is not to say I have solved all the problems of life, but I believe this strong desire plus professional training and long experience has given me valuable insights into ways to help.
In the busy world in which we live, I provide that space for you to unwind, off-load and rediscover who you are, as well as deal with the problems you are experiencing.
I have observed time and again, the positive changes that people experience when they make time for themselves and to be heard.
We will talk about a simple contract to suit your needs. Sessions will usually be weekly at the same time for one hour. The length of time you come for counselling will depend on the issues you bring. Some issues can take a few weeks, others months to see improvement. As counselling is ‘person-centred’, you can use the session as you like, although I may suggest ways of working to help you explore your issues.
I invite you to phone or email me.
Training, qualifications & experience
I bring a rich life experience, including classroom teaching, international marketing, small business and charity, educational governance, leading small teams, healthcare practice and administration, life coaching, inner healing, and family life.
I am fully qualified with an integrative person-centred approach. This means that you come first, and I put store by what you want to talk about, how and when. I may use different models of counselling but tailor-made to your needs. Important to me are confidentiality and security, practising ethically and under professional supervision.
