About me

As a person-centred integrative counsellor my work is led by you and your needs. I will work alongside you without judgement, focusing on the issues important to you. 

Counselling and Psychotherapy can be useful for many people for a multitude of reasons. I have worked with people experiencing loss or bereavement, work difficulties, relationship changes or problems, low self-esteem and depression among other reasons. My aim remains the same, to provide a safe and comfortable space for you to explore what it is, that would be helpful for you. The goal is to enhance your wellbeing and assist you to reflect and make any changes you want to. I am driven to help you overcome thoughts and feelings that are disempowering and work with you to be motivated to make changes at a deep level.

Integrating counselling techniques allows me to tailor your counselling experience to you. I can gently guide and support you towards your goals and assist you to develop a greater understanding of yourself.

My past professional experiences include over 10 years of experience working with people who live with mental health issues. I have also got extensive experience of working with people who have a neurodivergent diagnosis. I have a deep understanding of caring for others and knowledge of the systems and structures in place to support individuals with additional needs.

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Free initial telephone or online session

Additional information

Initial session free to establish whether we fit well to work together. The initial session usually lasts 20 minutes. Full sessions are charged at £50 for 50 minute session.
