About me
I am a Registered Counselling Psychologist with 16 years experience of working in a counselling role. I offer a professional, confidential and effective private therapy service from comfortable consulting rooms in Hove and Brighton, East Sussex
I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR), cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and a psychodynamic therapeutic framework. My approach is warm, collaborative, and non-judgemental.
I am flexible and accommodating and I will schedule therapy sessions according to clients' needs.
I see adult individuals experiencing psychological distress for therapeutic support.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am registered as a Counselling Psychologist with the Health Care Professionals Council.
I work for the NHS as a senior psychologist in adult mental Health. I work with clients struggling with a number of conditions including Complex Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (CPTSD), emotonal unstable personality disorder, bipolar, psychosis, depression, anxiety and eating disorders.
I have a particular interest and experience in working with Lesbian, Gay Bisexual and Trans people. I undertook a 2 year placement a Charing Cross Gender Identity clinic working with clients experiencing gender dysphoria, undergoing gender transition, as well as clients identifying as gender neutral.
I also worked for many years as a sexual health adviser offering counselling to those living with HIV, those battling with sex addiction, and those struggling to cope following rape and sexual assault.

The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.
They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
