About me
I work with adults who may be feeling misunderstood, overwhelmed, stuck or uncertain about how to go forward. My clients are often neurodivergent, whether they are diagnosed or they identify with neurodivergent traits, however all walks of life are welcome in my practice. You may be seeking therapy because something has changed, your old coping strategies are no longer working, or you would like to understand yourself and your experiences more deeply, and you would like to explore that in a space free from judgement where you can feel understood and accepted. Let's celebrate your highs and find ways to get through your lows!
I offer an integrative approach, drawing upon different therapeutic modalities to tailor therapy to your needs. I work collaboratively, recognising that you are the expert in your own experiences. Working together, we can build a therapeutic relationship that provides a safe space to explore, understand and work towards meaningful change.
I know that finding the right therapist is important, whether you have been to therapy before or this is your first time looking for one. If you don't know what to expect or where to begin that's fine! You don't need to have a list of things to 'sort'! If I sound like I could be a good fit for you, please reach out to arrange a free 15 minute discovery call.
Training, qualifications & experience
I hold a Masters of Science (MSc) in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy from the University of Derby.
My modalities are Person-Centred, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Attachment Theory informed therapy.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
I am a neurodivergent counsellor, this can help neurodivergent clients feel comfortable in session with me as I can 'get' the difficulties that neurodivergence can bring. At the same time, I work in a neuro-affirmative manner, helping clients find their strengths and find ways to manage the difficult.
