About me
Feeling overwhelmed, stuck or isolated? You don’t have to face challenges alone. I specialise in helping neurodivergent adults, and those exploring their possible neurodivergent identity, to navigate life with confidence. Perhaps you:
- often feel misunderstood
- are fearful of being 'broken' and need support from someone you can trust
- feel you aren't good enough
- feel shame, self-blame and low self-confidence
- can get overwhelmed and stuck in procrastination
- have experienced difficulties with relationships and work
- feel exhausted at trying to fit in
- have difficulty feeling and identifying your emotions or what to do with them. Or the opposite - you feel deeply and have difficulty managing the intensity and change in your emotions
- feel confused and frustrated about why some things seem more difficult for you (especially if you excel at others), and wonder if maybe you are 'stupid'
- or many other things - all human beings are complex and unique people.
I work in a relaxed, confidential way to explore feelings and experiences, helping you understand yourself better and find a way forward. Whether facing specific issues or seeking personal development, I can help you find your voice, make sense of your feelings and find your own solutions that bring you closer to where you want to be.
I understand that everyone has their own individual problems and circumstances. As a dyslexic and dyspraxic person with ADHD, I know what it can be like to feel different and I'm here to really 'get' you.
How I work
Our sessions are compassionate, judgment-free, neuro-affirming and at your own pace, so you can be yourself. I see our working relationship as a partnership – a journey we take together through your challenges towards a life that feels more fulfilling.
I practice person-centred therapy, believing in everyone’s potential to grow and change. You’re in control of our discussions and how deeply we go. You are the expert of your own life and my role is to support and accompany you, not to tell you how to feel or what to do how to feel.
Together, we’ll explore how you’re really feeling to help you connect with your inner voice, embrace new possibilities and live in a way that feels true to you. This can lead to deeper trust in yourself, more meaningful relationships and the confidence to face life’s complexities with resilience so you feel more equipped to cope.
I offer a free 20-minute, no-obligation phone or video chat. Get in touch if you'd like to talk about what you want from therapy, ask any questions and see if we are a good fit. We can also explore any accommodations to make sessions accessible to you. I'd love to hear from you!
Training, qualifications & experience
I have a degree in counselling and am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), following their ethical guidelines, and the Person-Centred Association (tPCA). I am DBS certified, registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) and hold professional and public liability insurance. I am trained in Rewind Trauma Therapy Technique for PTSD, and in the NHS's Person-Centred Experiential Counselling for Depression (PCE-CfD).
I have extensive experience in various counselling settings and a background in neuroscience and publishing. As well as private practice, I work for a national mental health organisation in a community counselling service, and within a specialist service for autistic clients. I am passionate about the neurodiversity paradigm and social model of disability.
Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
