About me
Feeling overwhelmed, stuck or isolated? You don’t have to face challenges alone. I help neurodivergent adults, and those exploring their possible neurodivergent identity, to confidently find their way forward towards a more fulfilling life. Whether facing specific issues or seeking personal growth, I can help you find your voice, make sense of your feelings and discover your own solutions that bring you closer to where you want to be.
You might have a formal diagnosis, self-identify or are still working things out. However you arrive, you’re welcome here. As a dyslexic, dyspraxic person and ADHDer with other neurodivergent traits, I know what it can be like to feel different and I aim to offer a place where you can truly be yourself. My approach isn’t about 'fixing' you - it’s about helping you to understand yourself more fully and discover how to work with yourself so life feels less like constant effort and more like something that fits.
- Many of the people I work with describe feeling misunderstood, ‘too much’, 'not enough' or worn out from trying to fit in. Maybe you are fearful of being 'broken' and want support from someone you can trust.
- Perhaps you look successful on the outside but feel lost, overwhelmed or full of self-doubt and shame inside. You might be experiencing anxiety, procrastination paralysis or the exhaustion that comes from masking who you are.
- Maybe you find relationships, work or everyday emotions difficult - whether that’s feeling disconnected from your feelings or experiencing them intensely.
- You'd like to explore your experiences through a neurodivergent lens, safe in the knowledge of a neurodivergent-informed perspective and a therapist who won't pathologise you.
If that sounds familiar, you're not alone and there's nothing wrong with you. Together we can untangle what’s going on one conversation at a time, and discover what actually works for you.
I often work with people who want support around:
Anxiety | Burnout | Emotional Abuse | Emotional Regulation | Identity | Late Diagnosis | LGBTQIA+ | Life Transitions | Loneliness | Low Mood | Depression | Family Issues | Perimenopause & Menopause | Panic Attacks | Parenting | Procrastination | Relationships | Self Confidence | Feeling Sad | Self Esteem | Sensory Sensitivities | Social Anxiety | Stress | Suicidal Thoughts | Work Issues …or many other things - us human beings are complex and unique individuals.
I’ve worked with all of this and more, and believe in an anti‑discriminatory, neurodiversity‑affirming approach.
How I work
Together, we'lI work in a calm and relaxed way to explore your experiences with warmth, curiosity and gentle challenge, helping you gain a deeper understanding of yourself - which in turn becomes your tool for developing your personal strategies for success. This can lead you to increased self-esteem, more meaningful relationships and the confidence to face life’s complexities with resilience so you feel more equipped to cope.
Wherever you find yourself right now, therapy with me can be a space to carefully put down your mask and safely explore what you need with someone who will truly hear you. If you’re ready to start feeling more grounded, more comfortable with yourself and less alone, then get in touch.
Sessions can be in-person (including 'walking and talking' outdoors), online or by phone.
Meet me!
I offer a free 20-minute, no-obligation phone or video consultation - perfect for you to ask questions, talk about what you want from therapy and explore if this feels the right space for you. I’m happy to discuss any adjustments that may help make sessions more accessible and supportive.
If we're the right fit, we can begin your journey together; if not, I’ll recommend a trusted colleague who may be a better fit. Either way, you’ll be supported.
Get in touch, I would love to hear from you!

Experience
Alongside private practice, I work for Mind within a specialist service for autistic adults. Previous mental health roles include NHS IAPT counselling for anxiety and depression, bereavement services, community counselling, pandemic support and a helpline for people with suicidal thoughts.
My background is in neuroscience, education and publishing. I have worked in the UK and overseas within global corporate organisations, small businesses, schools, charities, social enterprises and with the NHS. I'm late-diagnosed multiply neurodivergent and completed a research dissertation on neurodivergence and counselling.
I am passionate about the neurodiversity paradigm and social model of disability.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
Many of the people I work with are autistic, ADHDers or AuDHDers and either formally diagnosed or self-identified. Counselling was of profound help to me and I am motivated to provide neuro-affirming support to others.
I have additional training in Counselling for Depression (CfD). CfD is an evidence-based, NICE-approved therapy used in the NHS. It focuses on addressing issues underlying depression, such as low self-esteem and self-criticism. CfD therapy aims to help people contact underlying feelings, make sense of them and reflect on the new meanings that emerge. This provides the basis for psychological and behavioural change.
