About me

Hello, I’m Gul-e-Rana, and I’m passionate about supporting people to live with greater ease, confidence, and clarity. With over 20 years of experience in mental health, I’ve had the privilege of helping individuals from all walks of life overcome challenges such as anxiety, stress, trauma, and low mood.

My approach is warm, down-to-earth, and focused on creating a safe space where you feel truly listened to and understood. Whether we work together face-to-face or online, I tailor therapy to your unique needs, drawing on proven psychological approaches with compassion and sensitivity.

What matters most to me is building a trusting relationship where you can talk openly, explore what’s been holding you back, and begin moving toward the life you want.

How CBT and EMDR Can Help:

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) are powerful therapeutic approaches that can help you overcome various mental health challenges. CBT focuses on changing negative thought patterns and behaviours, while EMDR is particularly effective for trauma and PTSD by helping you process and integrate distressing memories. Together, these therapies can provide relief and promote healing for a wide range of issues including anxiety, depression, phobias, and more.

Services Offered:

I offer one-to-one cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and EMDR to teens and adults (18+) facing a wide range of challenges. Additionally, I provide CBT for couples experiencing relational difficulties. For those who benefit from shared experiences, I also offer group therapy sessions. These sessions are available both in person and online, giving you the flexibility to access therapy from the comfort of your home.

What to Expect in Your First Session:

Your first session will be an opportunity for us to get to know each other and for me to understand your needs and concerns. We will discuss your history, the issues you are facing, and your goals for therapy. This initial session will also give you a chance to ask any questions you may have about the therapeutic process and to see if you feel comfortable working with me.

My Experience and Approach:

With extensive experience delivering high-quality, evidence-based psychological therapies in various clinical settings, including the NHS, I bring valuable knowledge and expertise to my private practice. My approach is warm and friendly, ensuring a supportive environment for individuals, couples, and groups.

Specialised Services:

Beyond my private practice, I work as a senior psychotherapist in a specialist psychotherapy team in NHS, where I also provide supervision to other therapists and trainees. My extensive background allows me to offer specialised services and insights, making therapy tailored to your unique needs.
