About me
I am an Integrative Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP). I offer therapeutic support to children, adolescents, parents, and adults, as well as supervision and guidance to trainee therapists. My approach is empathic, relational, sensitive, and non-judgemental. I work both individually and systemically, and I am committed to creating a therapeutic space that feels safe, containing, and respectful, where clients can explore emotional difficulties, strengthen their sense of self, and find ways to move forward at their own pace.
I have a deep and ongoing interest in parenting work. I believe that supporting and empowering parents is a vital part of therapeutic work with children and families, particularly during times. I work collaboratively with parents to build confidence, deepen connection with their children, and develop compassionate, attuned ways of responding to emotional needs. I aim to recognise and build upon the strengths within each family system, supporting parents and children to feel understood, supported, and less alone.
Alongside this, I have a deep and heartfelt interest in working with loss and bereavement. I support individuals of all ages through many forms of grief, including the death of a loved one, the loss of a child, miscarriage and baby loss, children who have lost a parent, and anticipatory grief. I also work with other significant losses such as the end of relationships, changes in identity or role, job loss, displacement, or the loss of a sense of home, safety, or belonging. My interest in this area is informed by both personal experience and professional practice, and I approach grief as a unique and deeply personal process, with no fixed timeline or “right” way to grieve.
I aim to offer a gentle, holding, and compassionate space where individuals can bring whatever they are carrying - pain, love, anger, confusion, numbness, or longing - and feel met with care and respect. I am open to working with people of all backgrounds, beliefs, and spiritual perspectives, recognising the ways culture, faith, and personal meaning shape experiences of loss. My hope is to walk alongside clients through these deeply painful and vulnerable times, helping them feel less alone and supported as they gradually find meaning, continuity, and ways of living with their loss.
Training, qualifications & experience
I graduated from The Institute of Arts in Therapy and Education and hold an MA in Integrative Child Psychotherapy. I have been working as a psychotherapist since 2016 in schools, charities and privately, supporting children, parents and adults. My clinical experience includes working with clients who struggle with complex trauma, attachment difficulties, bereavement, loss, suicidal ideation, anxiety, self-esteem, parents’ divorce, DV, abuse and neglect. I work inclusively and with awareness of differences around race, culture, disability, neurodiversity, gender, sexual orientation and religion. I invest and engage in regular supervision and CPD trainings and other self-development courses.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
