About me
Relational Psychotherapy
I work with people who suffer from depression, trauma, eating disorders, anxiety-related issues and those who just can't work out why they feel so unhappy, confused or helpless. I help people with obsessive and compulsive issues and work with people who face a suicidal crisis. I further have experience in working with addictions, eating disorders and psychiatric conditions such as Bi-polar, Personality Disorder and OCD.
Furthermore, I work with people who survived terrifying and brutal experiences, faced abuse and/or mental health problems and struggle to continue to live their lives. I undertake both short-term focused projects as well as longer-term work.

Member organisations
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
Over the past 15 years I have gained experience in the NHS working at the Maudsley Hospital, St Thomas Hospital and Victim Support Lambeth where I saw people in weekly one-to-one psychotherapy sessions.
In my practice I am very interested in the social and political as well as the personal reality. I believe in challenging negativity and discrimination around race, gender, sexual orientation, age, religious beliefs and socio-economic background. As a German speaker living in London I bring my own personal experience and an acute awareness of how social exclusion operates on both personal and social realities.
I am a member of the IARPP (International Association for Relational Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy) and the Relational School UK.
