About me

Are you worried about your child or young person, but unsure how to support them?
Or perhaps you’re a young person or young adult feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure why things feel the way they do.
Do you find relationships challenging, or often feel misunderstood?

If any of this resonates with you, welcome.

My name is Georgia-Eden, and I am a Psychodynamic Psychotherapist accredited by the British Psychoanalytic Council and a member of the Tavistock Society of Psychotherapists. I have experience working with children, young people, young adults, and families across a range of settings, including the NHS, residential childcare, education, and social care.

I offer support for children, adolescents, young adults (up to age 25), and families navigating emotional, behavioural, and relational difficulties.

My approach is always tailored to the individual. With children, I may use creative and play-based methods, while with young people and adults, sessions are more conversational, reflective, and exploratory.

Reaching out for support can feel daunting. Psychodynamic therapy offers a space to build a trusting relationship and explore emotional experiences in depth, including those that may be outside of immediate awareness. Together, we can begin to understand how past experiences and unconscious patterns may be influencing current thoughts, feelings, and behaviours.

While my core modality is psychodynamic, I also integrate elements of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness where appropriate.

I have experience supporting a wide range of difficulties and have a particular interest in working with children and families following a diagnosis of Autism or ADHD. This may involve helping both the child and family understand the diagnosis, as well as supporting the young person in making sense of what it means for them.

I offer a free 15-minute initial consultation. Following this, I usually suggest three to four initial sessions to get to know one another and explore your needs. We can then decide together how best to move forward.

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

BPC
British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC)

The British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC) is a professional association, representing the profession of psychoanalytic psychotherapy.

The organisation is itself made up of fourteen member organisations and BPC accredits the trainings of its member organisations. An individual who qualifies from one of these trainings is then eligible for entry into the BPC's register.

BPC registrants are governed by a code of ethics, a policy of continuing professional development, a statement on confidentiality and a complaints procedure. The BPC is a Member Society of the European Federation for Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy in the Public Sector (EFPP). Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
