About me
I am a BACP Accredited and UKCP registered psychotherapist, trained in gestalt therapy and psychodrama. I have also trained in supervision.
I believe in the innate creativity of each person to know what is best for them at any given time. I aim to work in collaboration with clients to explore issues and to find more satisfying ways of being.
I offer individual counselling both short term and long term, as well as working with couples, families and groups.
I have experience of working with individuals with issues of stress, anxiety, bereavement, depression, work related issues, personal crisis, lack of confidence, low self-esteem or just a loss of direction and fulfillment in life.
I also have experience with couples and families in dealing with relationship issues, and I have worked as a counsellor with young children in a Primary School.
No problem is too small to be taken seriously and to benefit from
being heard.
I like to work in collaboration with clients to devise the most
appropriate way to help you move forward in your life.
I like to offer clients the possibility to work creatively, either with art materials, writing and psychodrama.
I am a founder member of Playback Edinburgh Theatre group. Playback Theatre is an improvised form of community storytelling, where the stories of the audience members are played back immediately by the performers. I find this a great outlet for my spontaneity and creativity. It is quite liberating, challenging and of course great fun as well. The group is in a new phase of development and is working towards a series of public events.

Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
