About me
Neurodiverse Couples Counselling
I have been specialising in helping couples with different brain wiring for the past 10 years. Neurodiversity is when there is a convergence of the autistic and non-autistic perspectives in relationship. I have had considerable success in helping my clients better understand their differences so they can learn a new more successful way of being together, understanding each other and accepting the different way their brains work. Many of my clients have previously been to a counsellor who did not have this expertise and they found the experience more damaging than helpful. This is because the way we are traditionally taught to work as counsellors is not best fit for neurodiverse couple clients. Many years of seeing neurodiverse clients has allowed me to develop my own skills necessary for the full understanding of these clients and to give best chance to facilitate positive change.
Couple Counselling - All couples experience difficulties in their relationship at some point. There are times when some expert input is needed to help shift you through a stuck position. I am here to facilitate a deeper understanding of what is happening in your relationship, to support, improve and enrich - to find a different way for you to relate to each other.
Couples counselling can be a valuable way of looking at any difficult issues you are experiencing in your relationship and gaining new perspective. I am also here to help facilitate your sexual and intimate lives together if this has become an issue for you as a couple - I have considerable expertise in facilitating this part of the couple relationship.
I can help you to break the cycle of anger and resentment destroying your relationship, whilst also increasing your understanding of each other. This new understanding can lead you to a more harmonious and loving relationship with improved communication and a joint vision for the future - it could also help pave the way to a more amicable ending if that is what you decide.
Individual counselling - Part of being human is that we experience concerns at some point in our lives. Mostly we can deal with these difficulties on our own or with the help and support from friends and family. Sometimes we feel overwhelmed by negative feelings or we feel stuck in patterns of behaviour we believe we are powerless to change. We may feel very alone with our complicated thoughts and feel trapped by our lives.
As your counsellor I will provide a safe space for you to express yourself and your concerns. I will help you to understand yourself more fully and empower you to make choices leading to a happier and more fulfilled you. I am impartial and have no agenda for your life other than what you want for yourself.
I will provide unbiased, consistent support where your well-being is my priority.
I am a qualified counsellor with over twenty years' experience of therapy with individuals and couples of all ages, ethnicity and life-styles. You are my priority during each session we spend together. I offer a confidential, safe space where you are listened to fully. I offer you time, integrity and respect.
Expert, discreet, confidential support.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
