About me
Hi, I’m Francesca, a qualified Person-Centred therapist with a background in Solution-Focused Brief Therapy. I offer individual counselling for adults, providing a space to talk about the challenges you're facing. Whether it's anxiety, work-related stress, grief, or adjusting to life changes like sight loss, I am here to listen and help. This isn’t an exhaustive list - if you’re experiencing something different, please feel free to get in touch.
How Can Counselling Help?
Life can sometimes feel overwhelming. There might be a lot on your mind - emotions, thoughts, or questions that are hard to make sense of. Maybe you’re dealing with a specific issue, or perhaps you’ve been struggling for a while. Speaking with someone outside your circle can often offer the clarity and emotional support you need to work through it.
What to Expect in Our Sessions
In our work together, my goal is to provide you with a safe, confidential space where you feel heard and understood. As a Person-Centred counsellor, I believe the relationship between us is key to making positive changes. I’ll help you explore how you’re feeling, and we’ll work together to understand what’s going on inside. Think of it as walking through a forest together. I will walk alongside you, but you will choose the direction, and I will be there to offer guidance and help you to notice things along the way.
I also draw from Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, which means we’ll set clear goals and focus on what you can do to move forward. You won’t be making decisions alone - I’ll ask questions, offer guidance, and challenge you when it’s helpful, but you’ll always be the one in control of your path.
My Approach
I believe everyone has the ability to create change in their life, and sometimes, it just takes the right kind of support to bring that out. My role as your counsellor is to guide you through this process in a way that feels right for you.
In my work, I’m always open to leaning into other modalities I’ve learned through continuous professional development (CPD) and experience. While I predominantly work with Person-Centred and Solution-Focused approaches, I will incorporate other techniques when they feel appropriate, to make sure we are addressing your needs in the best way possible.
Why Choose Me?
I became a counsellor because I wanted to offer the kind of support that can make a real difference in someone’s life. Over the years, I’ve seen how powerful it can be to have a space where you can openly explore your feelings and find clarity.
Outside of counselling, I enjoy spending time outdoors, whether it’s running or walking. Being in nature helps me stay grounded and inspires me to bring presence and mindfulness into my practice.
As a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), I commit to ongoing professional development and supervision to ensure I’m offering the best support possible. I follow the BACP’s ethical guidelines and stay up-to-date with the latest practices in counselling.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
