About me
Thank you for visiting my profile.
I offer clients in-person and online counselling from a practice room in Exeter and online through Zoom.
Counselling offers you the chance to explore. I think of it as a process of learning who you want to be. It can also help you when you find yourself in difficult situations or are struggling with something. Family issues, relationship difficulties, anxiety, low self-esteem or confidence and trauma are just some of the areas that we might discuss during a session.
But it isn’t just about when things aren’t going well. It can also be used to get to where you want to be. Your mental health can develop in the same way as your physical health. You can be perfectly healthy and still want to look for ways to be fitter and improve your physical health. The same is true of your mental health – counselling can give it a boost by exploring who you are, who you would like to be and how to get there.
Through our sessions, you can begin to understand more about who you are, who you would like to be, and how to get there. My goal is to make you feel heard, and empower you to examine the areas of your life you may normally keep hidden. Counselling lets you experience the emotions that are normally too big for your day-to-day life, to empower you to make the changes you want to make.
The First Steps
If you'd like to chat to me about how I can support you, I offer a free 20-minute chat to allow us to get to know each other a little, and see if we want to work together. It also allows you to ask any questions you have about counselling.
If we are both happy to progress, our first session will be an initial assessment to allow me to understand more about your situation, and give us a good foundation for future sessions.
Sessions last for 50 minutes, and I recommend that a client agrees to six sessions initially, but that isn't compulsory.
cause they are your experiences I don’t offer solutions but rather, I’m on your side to help find the answers that work for you.
