About me

It can be really difficult to know how to change things when you feel like a failure.

You can come to therapy for any reason, there is no right or wrong way to do it.

Often you can just know something is wrong even if you don't know exactly what it is

You might be;

  • Stuck due to indecision
  • Unsure how to feel happier in relationships
  • Feeling lost and alone
  • Feeling 'not good enough’? Not a good enough, partner, friend, family member etc?
  • Feeling trapped
  • Struggling with indecision, second guessing yourself

You can just know something needs to change even if you have no idea what needs changing or how to go about it?

  • I should be happier
  • I should be better at this
  • I should know what I want
  • I should be able to deal with this
  • I should be a better person

You can just know that 'I don't want to live like this anymore'

Counselling helps you understand yourself better and be kinder to yourself.

You can take the time to figure out who you are, what you want.

Counselling helps you show yourself some compassion and understanding. It helps you stop feeling so guilty and unsure and enables you to feel in control of your life and your decisions.

I have worked with many clients experiencing difficult or traumatic family relationships, abuse, depression, trauma and anxiety.

I have helped clients struggling with their self-esteem and self-worth.

I can help by listening and understanding what is going on for you. Family and friends can be great support, by they are affected by your feelings and actions.

I can offer you space and time to focus on what you are feeling and thinking without worrying about how that will affect other people.

I am here to focus on, and care about you, to help you figure out how you feel, and allow you to experience those feelings without embarrassment, guilt, shame or judgement.

Before becoming a counsellor, I worked in the field of infertility, and volunteered in a group supporting new parents.

I bring an understanding of the emotional stress that these stages of life can bring, such as guilt, post-natal depression, grief and loss.

I have supported many people whose lives have been turned upside down by these huge life events. Together we have picked up the pieces of what life used to be and figured out how to put them back together into life beyond what they have been through.

If you’d like to make an appointment or if you’d like to know anything more about me or about counselling, please get in touch. I also offer a free 15 min call if you'd like before booking an appointment.
