About me
Asking for help can in many ways be the hardest step to take, and it may be that it has taken you some time to get this far. You might be feeling a bit overwhelmed by the thought of embarking on this process. Allow me to accompany you on your journey towards healing and growth.
Having worked for many years with a mental Health charity I have started my own private practice. I practice as a Pluralistic Counsellor which recognises that there are a variety of approaches and methods which may be helpful to clients. I provide a non-judgemental safe space where clients can be supported to explore themselves, their lives and possible changes.
I endeavour to use warmth, kindness and integrity to allow us to establish a trusting and honest partnership. Confidentiality is a critical and integrative part of this partnership and will only be breached where there is a serious risk of harm to yourself or others
This will allow us to collaboratively plan a way forward. My person-centred approach means that all sessions will be built around your needs rather than following a pre existing plan. I like to use regular check-ins to ensure that sessions continue to meet those needs.
I work in Edinburgh and can offer Face to Face sessions in the city centre. I also offer on line and, weather permitting, walk and talk sessions. I can offer weekend sessions if required.
