About me
Whether we feel alone, or overwhelmed by the needs of others; whether we want to experience less pain or more happiness in our lives, we can all benefit from a space to explore and understand our feelings.
Counselling and Psychotherapy offers an ongoing relationship with someone trained to listen to help you to explore your past and present, which can help you more clearly identify what you want for your future.
As an integrative psychotherapeutic counsellor, I aim to provide a safe and confidential place to explore your experiences and feelings, help you make sense of where you are, develop strategies to cope with life’s challenges, and create positive changes for your future.
I offer an initial free introductory call, which provides an opportunity for us to meet and discuss the issues that bring you to therapy and your hopes for our work together. In this time, we can get a sense of how we might work together and whether my services can be of help to you. If you decide you would like to continue, we can then make arrangements for regular sessions, usually once a week. A simple issue may only take a few weeks for us to talk through, or you may want to explore more complex feelings in depth over a longer term.
If you have questions or would like to book an initial exploratory session, please contact me via e-mail, and we can arrange a convenient time to speak.
Training, qualifications & experience
I hold an MA Integrative Counselling from the Minster Centre, London.
I have previously worked within the NHS offering time-limited therapy as a part of the South London and Maudsley Trust, and provided open-ended psychotherapy to clients in local low-cost therapy projects. I now predominantly work in private practice.
I am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), the leading counselling and psychotherapy body in the UK, and I abide by their code of ethics and professional standards. In line with this, I have regular supervision and am committed to my continuing professional development.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Additional information
Please contact me to arrange an initial consultation in which we can explore the issues that bring you to therapy and decide whether or not my services would be of help.
If you decide you'd like us to work together, we will then find a regular time to meet for a 50-minute session, usually weekly, and discuss whether you would prefer open-ended therapy or to work for a predetermined period.
I offer a free introductory call and charge between £50 and £80 for ongoing sessions- offering reduced cost daytime slots for clients for whom cost may prove a barrier to accessing counselling. Please contact me by email to arrange a time for us to speak, for more information about rates.
Payment can be made by bank transfer, Cash, card or PayPal.
