About me
Life can sometimes feel heavy. Whether you’re struggling with overwhelm, uncertainty, or simply seeking a calm place to explore your thoughts, the therapy I offer can provide you with a space where you can find meaningful relief. Together, we can examine and unpack issues that brought you to therapy and create a powerful change in your internal and external perspectives.
I can support you with a wide range of concerns, from navigating life transitions and emotional regulation to managing stress, anxiety, low mood, and processing past difficulties. The strength of the therapeutic relationship is at the core of my approach.
As a mature counsellor with experience working in busy London areas and worldwide online, I bring a broad understanding of emotional challenges across the lifespan.
My approach is integrative, blending techniques from transpersonal, psychodynamic and humanistic therapy to best meet each person’s unique needs.
True psychological support begins by entering an accepting space where your experiences, curiosity, and identity shape the process. This jointly created space becomes, as therapy progresses, flexible enough to hold complexity and contradictions. Using an integrative framework, I tailor my knowledge and methods to align with who you are and what you need.
Training, qualifications & experience
- Post Graduate Diploma in Psychosynthesis Counselling, BACP and UKCP Accredited.
- Foundation Course for Fertility Counselling, CPCAB Accredited, BICA
- Graduate Diploma in Humanistic and Psychodynamic Counselling, Goldsmiths University
- BSc (Hons) Psychology, BPS accredited (GMBPsS), Roehampton University.
Although I work integratively, using variety of approaches, I chose Psychosynthesis as my core professional training because I believe that it holistically encompasses all parameters of human experience - mind, feelings, body, and soul.
Psychosynthesis therapy helps individuals achieve a state of greater awareness, self-understanding, and a connection to something larger than themselves, potentially leading to personal transformation.
In recent years, I have worked closely with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, personal traumas and suicidal thoughts. Throughout this journey, I witnessed the way in which the power of empathy, connection, and personalised support can help individuals take back control of their stories and discover hope and a path forward despite their struggles.
As an infertility activist, I developed a special interest in how infertility treatments and outcomes psychologically impact women and men. I am interested in working with clients who are experiencing any stages or aspects of their infertility journey, and I can offer educated and informed counselling around those issues.
I bring 30 years of experience in the care sector, executive management, and charity governance. Throughout my career, I’ve supported and guided individuals at various stages of their personal growth toward more fulfilling lives. I’ve always been drawn to people and their stories, naturally helping them connect with their authentic, meaningful selves.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
