About me
Maybe you are currently experiencing or have previously experienced some difficult and painful situations in life. Maybe you are feeling anxious, frustrated or hopeless. Perhaps you are approaching some big changes and you feel stressed and overwhelmed. There are many different reasons why someone may want to see a counsellor and each reason is personal and valid.
I will work alongside you with compassion, empathically, respectfully and without judgement. What I offer is a protected time and a therapeutic space to reflect, think and better understand yourself and your experiences, and with this understanding possibly explore how you may consider moving forward.
Journeying alongside someone whatever their circumstance is a privilege and one I hold with great care.
Training, qualifications & experience
As a counsellor, I worked for the charity MIND and had the privilege of journeying with clients from a range of backgrounds and cultures. My experience has been with clients dealing with issues including, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, relationship issues, illnesses, emotional issues, life transitions, loss, abuse, trauma, unhealthy coping mechanisms and stress.
As an Integrative Counsellor I can work with you using various counselling approaches and seek to use techniques that best suit you as the client. My practice draws upon various forms of therapy where different combinations are used, these include Person Centred Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic, Creative Therapy and the Waverley Model.
I am a qualified Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapist, currently Level 1 and pursuing my Level 2 training. I very much enjoy working in this therapeutic model as it resonates strongly with the compassionate and respectful way I choose to work with my clients.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Association of Christians in Counselling and Linked Professions (ACC) is a Christian professional membership organisation for those involved in counselling/psychotherapy and linked professions, i.e. pastoral care, coaching and spiritual direction, in the UK. The organisation is made up of various different membership categories, including Counsellor and Accredited, and requires all members working as counsellors to undertake Continuous Professional Development on a regular basis.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
