About me
Reaching out for counselling can feel daunting, especially if you’re used to managing things on your own or have been holding things in for a long time. You may feel overwhelmed, struggling with anxiety or low self-esteem, stuck in patterns in how you think, feel, or relate to others, or carrying something that feels difficult to face alone.
I offer a calm, consistent space where you can begin to explore what’s happening at a pace that feels manageable. You don’t need to have everything worked out before you come — we can start wherever you are.
I listen carefully and thoughtfully, offering space to reflect while also gently drawing attention to patterns that may be difficult to see on your own. Often, the ways we cope or respond have developed for good reason, even if they now feel unhelpful or limiting. From there, we can consider what needs to change and how to move forward in a way that feels realistic and grounded.
Therapy is led by you — your priorities, your pace, your goals. Where helpful, I offer gentle structure and direction, drawing on my training and experience while keeping your needs at the centre of our work.
A collaborative and considered approach
My work is integrative, meaning I draw from different therapeutic approaches and adapt how I work depending on what feels most helpful and appropriate for you. At the heart of my practice is the belief that meaningful change becomes possible when you feel understood within a safe and reliable therapeutic relationship.
I aim to provide a space that is steady, respectful and free from judgement, where you don’t have to filter or edit yourself. I don’t offer quick fixes or surface-level advice, but a space to explore things more deeply and create change that feels lasting.
Review and reflection
We will check in regularly on how the work is progressing and adjust where needed. Some people attend for a focused, shorter period; others choose longer-term therapy. Together, we will decide what feels appropriate.
Professional standards
As an Accredited Member of the BACP, I meet recognised standards of training, experience, and supervised practice, and I am committed to providing safe and thoughtful support.
Where to begin
I offer a free 30-minute phone call so you can talk through what’s brought you here in a relaxed and informal way, and ask any questions about how I work. There’s no obligation to continue — it’s simply an opportunity to see whether working together feels right.
Training, qualifications & experience
I trained with the Inter-Psyche Training Institute, where I gained a Level 6 Diploma in Integrative Counselling.
I supported adults at Faversham Counselling Service (FCS Talking Therapies) until it closed in December 2025. During that time, I worked with a wide range of issues including anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, anger, stress, grief, and relationship difficulties.
My training is integrative, drawing on cognitive, psychodynamic, and humanistic approaches within a relational framework. I have also completed additional training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, which I use when it fits your needs.
I regularly review my practice and keep my skills up to date through ongoing professional development, ensuring my work is safe, ethical, and effective.
Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
