About me

How can I help you?

Counselling with me provides you with a space of radical acceptance to explore your beliefs, your identities, and your experiences of the world. Together, we will co-create a space to experiment with new ways of being and relating. Or a place to integrate or challenge yourself. Or simply some time and space to explore, be heard, and get curious about your life (past, present and future).

A little about my practice:

My practice is eclectic in approach and so it’s tailored to you and your needs, but I work always from the position that you are the expert in your own experience. I'm committed to anti-oppressive, politically conscious practice: I believe that therapy is a radical act, and should be a collaboration between client and therapist.

About my clients:

I work with a wide range of people and you are welcome to get in touch if my profile resonates with you. Often, I work with activists, the LGBTQIA+ community, kinky people, poly people, neurodiverse people, outsiders and edge-walkers (and many more). My clients are often curious about their meaning/purpose, about their identity, about finding a way to live in this world. Often, people are trying to manage change, grief, or trying to understand their way of being which can feel at odds with the people around them.

How I work:

I work via Zoom online. I offer a free 15-minute consultation session so that you can see if we are a good fit, if you can imagine working with me and to find out if the way I work suits you. You’re welcome to ask me any questions you might have.

After that, if we are a good match, I’ll email you with a list of free appointment times and my terms and conditions. You can book (or not) as you wish. That appointment slot will be yours for as long as you want it. I offer open ended therapy: some people like a block of sessions, some prefer to take it week by week. We can check in about that in our first session together.

If you have any questions, I invite you to email me at info@emmahacking.co.uk.

Training, qualifications & experience

My five years of training were through courses in Therapeutic Counselling run by the Counselling and Psychotherapy Central Awarding Body, fully accredited and approved by the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society.

My Diploma course was in Psychospiritual Counselling at Sweet Track Counselling in Glastonbury, accredited by the Counselling and Psychotherapy Central Awarding Body. I qualified in 2021.

After graduating, I took a Post-graduate Certificate in Gender, Sex and Relationship Diversity Counselling from Pink Therapy, accredited by the National Council of Integrative Psychotherapists.
