About me

Supporting teenagers, adults and couples living with trauma, neurodivergence and relationship challenges
Whether you're seeking support for yourself, your teenager or your relationship, therapy can offer a space to make sense of experiences, feel understood and begin moving forward.

I work with teenagers (11+), adults and couples, with a particular focus on trauma and neurodivergence. Many of the people I support have experienced childhood or relational trauma, live with ADHD or autism, or feel exhausted from years of masking, people-pleasing or trying to cope alone. Together, we explore the patterns that have developed, helping you understand yourself with greater compassion and build healthier ways of relating to yourself and others.

Alongside my work with individuals, I support couples who are finding communication difficult or feeling disconnected. I have particular experience working with couples where trauma, ADHD or autism affects the relationship, helping each partner feel understood while developing new ways of communicating and strengthening connection.

Before retraining as a Humanistic Counsellor, I spent over 15 years in the fashion industry. My own experience of change and transition eventually led me to therapy, giving me a genuine appreciation of how daunting it can feel to ask for support.

Clients often tell me they value my calm, warm and down-to-earth approach. I believe therapy should feel collaborative rather than clinical, and I tailor my work to each individual, couple or young person. Whether we're exploring the impact of trauma, navigating neurodivergence or working through relationship challenges, we'll move at a pace that feels safe, respectful and right for you.

You don't need to be at crisis point to begin therapy. Sometimes the first step is simply having a space where you no longer have to carry everything on your own.

Services & Experience

If you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure where to turn, you're not alone. Life can be challenging, and sometimes we all need a space to pause and make sense of what we’re going through, without judgment or pressure.

I offer a calm, confidential environment where you can talk freely about whatever’s on your mind. Whether you're navigating anxiety, low self-esteem, grief, identity issues, or relationship struggles, my aim is to support you in reconnecting with clarity, confidence, and a sense of direction that feels authentic to you.

My counselling approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in respect for your unique experiences. I work with both adults and young people, tailoring therapy to meet each person's individual needs.

Professional Experience
Alongside my private practice, I bring a rich background of working in mental health and emotional wellbeing support across a variety of settings:

  • School Counsellor – I support young people within the school environment, offering a safe space to explore issues like stress, anxiety, friendships, self-esteem, and identity. I also work closely with families and carers to support the wider system around the child.
  • Mental Health Worker with MIND – I’ve worked with young people aged 11–18 and their families through the charity MIND, providing both therapeutic and practical mental health support tailored to each family’s circumstances.
  • Therapist within the NHS – I currently work with NHS staff, offering therapy and emotional support to healthcare professionals coping with the pressures and demands of their roles.

These experiences have deepened my understanding of how stress, trauma, and emotional overwhelm can affect us at different stages of life, and how therapy can help us process, reset, and move forward.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
