About me
Are you looking for a warm, experienced counsellor who will support you whilst offering you the space to explore whatever is on your mind, at your own pace?
Whatever it is that you are going through, I will see you as a human rather than a list of problems to be solved. Some of the areas I have experience of working with are trauma, bereavement, loss, relationship difficulties, anxiety and low self-esteem.
I have 5 years of counselling experience in a variety of settings and have worked with clients from all walks of life.
In our work together I will :
- listen to you with respect and without judgment
- reflect on patterns that emerge and guide you to explore these in more depth
- offer you a safe space to process painful or traumatic experiences
- help you to re-connect with yourself and with what brings you joy
- help you to develop a clearer understanding of yourself, your ways of being in the world and what you want from life
- offer you a safe relationship in which you can experience and express your feelings and really be heard
I am a polyam and LGBTQI+ friendly therapist and have experience of working with nerurodivergence (if you have any particular needs, concerns or requirements please feel free to let me know).
Where I work
I work both from my practice in Enso Healing Rooms (Tuesday daytime) on Gloucester Road and from my home in Easton/Greenbank (Wednesnday daytime). I also offer sessions online.
Training, qualifications & experience
- Foundation Certificate In Counselling, Bath Centre for Psychotherapy and Counselling
- Diploma in Integrative Counselling, Iron Mill College
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
