About me
Thank you for taking the time to look at my profile : )
We all need support in life and at times, we reach out to therapy to provide us with that support. Therapy can help us to understand complex emotions, behaviours, or to learn more about ourselves. Sometimes it is just nice to talk to someone who is hearing and feeling what is going on for you.
I can offer you a non-judgemental space to explore whatever it is you need support with. Together, we can work through your fears, your difficult memories or whatever is hindering you in life.
I can offer:
- Face to face sessions in my warm and welcoming office within Nostell Priory Business Park
-Walk and Talk therapy in Nostell Priory parklands
-Remote therapy via Zoom or telephone
Working with children
Alongside working with adults, I have many years experience of working with children aged 11+. I have worked in both primary and secondary schools and in my time as a Mental Health Coordinator at a secondary school, managed a Nurture room where I ran group work and 1:1 sessions. I have completed advanced Designated Safeguarding Lead training, as well as achieving Nurture Practitioner status. I have an enhanced DBS certificate available if you would like to see it. Please note I only work with children age 11+
My practice
I trained as an integrative Counsellor, which means that whilst I use the Person-Centred model, I believe in adapting to you and your needs so I will draw upon other therapies or methods to support you. I also offer Walk and Talk therapy around Nostell parklands.
If you would like to have a chat with me to see if I am the right Counsellor for you, I am happy to arrange this. You may feel nervous when you start therapy, but please don't worry... many people feel the same and we will take things at your pace. I hope to hear from you soon, take care.... Emily : )
P.S If you don't hear from me within 48 hours please check your junk folder... I always respond to emails but unfortunately they can go into junk mail from time to time!

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
