About me

Hello, My name is Emily and I am a Play Therapist working in Lancaster and Morecambe. I have my own therapy space called The Rainbow Hub which i have specially tailored for families and children in need of their own therapeutic space. My hope is for every family who enters the space to feel safe, free from judgement and hopeful.

My passion is to help children connect their heads to their hearts, and in turn, help families feel stronger connections together.

All children deserve to shine and I am here to help them reach their full potential.

As a Filial Therapist (Family Therapy) my aim is to work with you and your children to create long lasting, happy relationships. You will learn skills in playing, communicating and empathy which can be used in almost any situation.

Training, qualifications & experience

  • Post Graduate Diploma in Play Therapy - PTUK and APAC - Distinction
  • Post Graduate Certificate in Therapeutic Play Skills - PTUK and APAC - Merit
  • Level One Filial Therapy Training - RiseVan Fleet Programme
  • BA(Hons) Music - Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts (LIPA) - 2.1

I have worked therapeutically with children for over 5 years. During this time I have helped children overcome and work through, anxiety, trauma, bereavement, family issues, and self-esteem, as well as working with children who have been fostered or adopted.

As well as working with individuals i also work with families to teach parents how to communicate through play with their children. This incredible work is safe, non-judgmental and can change the whole family for the positive.
