I am a qualified counsellor, (BA Honors Degree) based in central Chichester. Whilst specializing in the Person-Centred approach developed from the work of the psychologist Dr. Carl Rogers, which concentrates on the individual’s self-worth and values. This approach does not use techniques, it relies on the personal qualities of the therapist to build an non-judgemental and empathetic relationship. In the counselling room I am not the expert I trust the innate tendency of each individual to work towards and achieve their full potential. I am opened to experience how others make sense of their own situation and see the world from their own perspective. I am trusting, trustworthy and accepting. I also draw on a range of modalities in order to best suit the needs of each client. A registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, I run my own private practice and also work as a volunteer counsellor for the NHS and The University of Chichester. I offer long and short-term counselling and can accommodate both English and Spanish speakers.
Enabling you to overcome difficulties, counselling provides a safe and reassuring environment in which express and explore your thoughts and feelings. Offering counselling across a range of issues, my role is to listen and support, guiding you towards greater personal fulfillment.
