About me

Reaching out for counselling can feel like a big step. You might be feeling anxious, low, overwhelmed, stuck in old patterns, or carrying things you have never felt able to say out loud. You may not even know exactly what is wrong, only that something does not feel right anymore.

Therapy gives you space to slow down and be heard properly.

I am an integrative counsellor and founder of A Space to Be Heard. I offer a calm, supportive, and non-judgemental space where you can talk openly, explore what is going on beneath the surface, and begin to understand yourself with more clarity and compassion.

My approach is relational and integrative. This means I adapt the way we work to you rather than following one fixed method. I draw from person-centred, attachment-informed, and psychodynamic approaches to help us explore both what is happening now and how past experiences may still be shaping your thoughts, feelings, and relationships today.

Above all, I believe the relationship between us matters most. Feeling safe, respected, and genuinely listened to is where change begins. We work at your pace, with no pressure and no judgement.

Some people come with a clear goal. Others arrive feeling lost or exhausted. Both are welcome.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have worked within the NHS and for a bereavement charity, supporting people through loss, emotional pain, anxiety, and life transitions. My experience includes working with grief, trauma, low self-esteem, anxiety, and stress.

Qualifications include:

  • Level 5 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling
  • Level 4 Diploma in Counselling Practice
  • CPCAB Level 3 Certificate in Counselling Studies

I work in accordance with the BACP Ethical Framework and take part in regular clinical supervision and continuing professional development.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
