About me
Are you feeling overwhelmed by life's challenges, struggling with anxiety or low mood? I know that taking the first steps towards seeking support can be daunting, but it is also an act of courage and self-compassion. I am here to help you navigate that journey.
What to Expect?
As a Counselling Psychologist, I provide a warm, safe and confidential space for adults and young people to explore their difficulties. Working with a person-centred approach, we will draw on a range of therapeutic models to tailor our work to your unique needs. I believe in working collaboratively finding the best methods to help you gain new insights and find a way forward.
I specialise in helping individuals with difficulties such as anxiety, depression and low self-esteem. My goal is to help you to understand the root of your challenges and develop practical strategies to aid lasting change. Whether you're feeling stuck, struggling with a specific issue, or simply want to better understand yourself, I am here to support you.
Availability
I offer both short-term and long-term therapy, and sessions are available in-person at my private practice in York or remotely via video call. I have availability on weekdays, both daytime and evenings. I understand that finding the right therapist for you is important. If you would like to explore if we are a good fit, feel free to contact me via email or phone and we can organise a free 15 minute chat.
Training, qualifications & experience
Following my degree in Psychology, I was keen to continue my studies to allow me to support individuals to improve their mental health. I qualified as a Counselling Psychologist in 2025. Over the last 5 years I have worked in a 3rd sector counselling service, the NHS and within schools proving support to children, young people and adults. I often integrate techniques from different therapeutic modalities to tailor our work to best fit your needs.
Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.
They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
