About me
You might be someone others rely on. Competent. Responsible. High-performing. You've worked hard to build a good life, and yet, something doesn't feel right.
The strategies that got you here — pushing through, staying busy, holding it all together — are starting to cost more than they used to. Maybe you're exhausted in a way that a weekend away or a relaxing bath doesn't touch. You may notice anxiety that won’t switch off, racing thoughts at night, brain fog during the day, poor sleep, or a sense of being constantly “on”. You notice irritability, low patience, or a creeping sense of self-doubt. Maybe you've ticked the boxes you thought would make you feel okay, and still don't, quite.
If that resonates, I understand it more than you might expect.
MY STORY: I came to therapy - first as a client, then as a therapist - after going through a significant and difficult period in my own life. That experience taught me what it actually feels like to sit in that chair; to ask for help when you're used to being the capable one, and to discover that real change is genuinely possible.
Before retraining, I spent years working in corporate administration across multiple business sectors. I watched first-hand how stress, burnout, and anxiety quietly dismantled people in responsible positions — people who looked, from the outside, like they had everything under control. I know that world and I understand its particular pressures, its culture of performance, and the very specific way it can make asking for help feel like a weakness.
Earlier in my career, I also worked extensively in domestic abuse and addiction services, which shaped my ability to work with complexity, with care, and without judgment.
HOW I WORK: I work with thoughtful professionals whose coping strategies are no longer working by helping them to understand their nervous system, process what's underneath, and build a life that feels as good on the inside as it looks on the outside.
My approach is trauma-informed and neuroscience-based. Rather than applying a one-size-fits-all model, I tailor the work to each person's unique history and nervous system, drawing on a range of approaches.
I know that naming these approaches may not be of interest to everyone, but for those of you who are interested or want to explore more about them, the following is for you.
I am a fully qualified Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT), but over the years, I have trained in a range of therapeutic approaches, including Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR), Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR), the Comprehensive Resource Model (CRM) and Infra Low Frequency (ILF) Neurofeedback. These all share a common understanding: when we experience ongoing stress or overwhelming events, the nervous system can become stuck in patterns of alertness, tension or shutdown.
Some people come to this work after finding that talking about their difficulties alone hasn’t fully brought the change they were hoping for. By working more directly with the brain and nervous system, it is often possible to support change at a deeper and more natural level.
Those who have worked with me often say they felt genuinely heard — perhaps for the first time in a long time.
Beyond individual therapy, I have designed and delivered stress awareness and resilience workshops for organisations, particularly supporting frontline care staff in high-pressure environments, who may also be experiencing vicarious trauma.
If any of this speaks to you, please do reach out. I'm always happy to have a quiet, no-pressure conversation about whether working together might be the right fit for you. Reaching out for support can sometimes feel like a big step, but you don’t need to have everything figured out beforehand.

Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
